Dhanush has announced his next production venture in his social media accounts.

His next production venture is titled "Naanum Rowdy than" starring Vijay Sethupathi. Nayanthara is paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi and music is by Anirudh.

The wait is over !!! Here's the first look of Super Star's "LINGAA"

This Ganesh Chaturthi is going to be special celebration for superstar Rajinikanth’s fans as the look of Rajinikanth's "Lingaa" being unveiled on this auspicious day. 

The film directed by K.S.Ravikumar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh, features Rajinikanth, Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles with Santhanam, Karunakaran, Jagapati Babu and Dev Gill in pivotal roles.

 Hollywood stunt director Lee Whittaker is choreographing the high octane action sequences. Music is by A.R. Rahman. R. Rathnavelu is the cinematographer, Sabu Cyril handles the art direction for the film.

Superstar is rumoured to be playing a double role in the film – one is a freedom fighter where as other is a chief engineer of a dam.

The film might be released on 12 December 2014, coinciding with Rajinikanth's birthday.

Chennai Central railway station

Chennai Central railway station is one of the most important railway hubs in South India.

The 138-year-old building of the railway station, one of the most prominent landmarks of Chennai, was designed by architect George Harding in the Gothic Revival style. The main building, a combination of Gothic and Romanesque styles. 

Chennai Central serves as a symbolic landmark for people in South India as this station served as the main gateway for all people who travelled to South India during the British times. In 2009, the Department of Posts featured Chennai Central in a postal stamp.

M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar: The first superstar of Tamil cinema

(7 March 1910 – 1 November 1959)

Mayavaram Krishnamurthy Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, also called M.K.T., was a Tamil film actor, producer and Carnatic music singer. Critics and film historians acknowledge Bhagavathar as the "first superstar of Tamil cinema". 

Bhagavathar was acclaimed for his powerful, melodious voice and the ease with which he could sing high pitch notes. Bhagavathar was a philanthropist and contributed for important social and religious causes. 

Bhagavathar was born in the town of Mayiladuthurai in then Tanjore district of the Madras Presidency, British India. Right from his boyhood, he desired to become a singer. He began his career first as a classical singer and then stage artist in the late 1920s. 

In 1934, he made his début in films with the movie "Pavalakkodi" which turned out to be a hit. His movie "Chintamani" was a record-breaker and became the first Tamil film to run continuously for a year. Bhagavathar's songs in the movie were especially popular. From 1934 to 1959, Bhagavathar acted in 14 films of whom 6 were box-office hits. Bhagavathar's 1944 film "Haridas" ran for three consecutive years at Broadway Theatre, Madras and created the record for the longest continuous run at a single theatre. Most of his films were record-breakers. Thiruneelakandar, Ambikapathi,Chintamani were among the first highly successful Tamil films.

Bhagavathar was arrested in 1944 as one of the main suspects in the Lakshmikanthan Murder Case and spent three years in prison before being released in 1947after a privy council verdict came in his favour. Bhagavathar's career declined after his arrest and though he did continue to act in Tamil films after his release from prison, none of them did well. Bhagavathar died of diabetes at the age of 49 on 1 November 1959.

The much awaited trailer of Farah Khan's 'Happy New Year' is finally here!

The film starring Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah, is the big Diwali release by choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan who has already delivered big hits like Om Shanti Om and Main Hoon Na.

The movie is the ultimate underdog story where a team of 'losers' , win the love of millions in their quest to pull off the biggest diamond heist ever!!

The film seems to be a colourful festive treat heavily loaded with all mass masala elements. The sparkling chemistry between the hit jodi Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone is magical.

Oka Laila Kosam Trailer Released

The First Look trailer of Naga Chaitanya's next movie "Oka Laila Kosam" has been released and its trending in social media. The trailer has received good response from audience.

"Oka Laila Kosam" is a romance telugu film written and directed by Vijay Kumar Konda. Produced by Nagarjuna on his home banner Annapurna Studios. Pooja Hegde is making her T-Town debut with this film opposite Naga Chaitanya. The film's music has been scored by Anup Rubens.  

The movie is all set to hit the screens in early September while the audio would be launched in August. 

NTR Jr's Rabhasa release date confirmed

Jr NTR's next flick "Rabhasa" is touted to be an action packed entertainer. The film has Samantha and Pranitha playing the female leads.The producers seem to have decided on the release date of the film as 29 August. The film which was supposed to release on August 14 had been postponed to August 15. But owing to some delay in production, the film's release date has been pushed by another fortnight. The film's producers have confirmed the news to the film's distributors.

The film's audio was launched recently and has generated a great response. It's been almost 10 months since NTR's last film Ramayya Vasthavayya released so there are a lot of expectations for the movie.

Santosh Sreenivas is directing the movie produced by Bellamkonda Suresh. Thaman has composed the music.

Rahman's single for Kaaviya Thalaivan released

A.R Rahman is back !!! 

The beautiful new single 'Yaarumilla thaniyarangil' from Vasanthabalan's movie 'Kaaviya Thalaivan' has been released. The song is penned by Pa.Vijay and sung by Shweta Mohan and Srinivas.

"Isayaal oru ulagam, adhil nee naam mattum iruppom..."

'Kaaviya Thalaivan' audio will be launched on 18th August. Oscar Winning AR Rahman has composed variety of classical songs, which will be based on stage drama. The "Vaanga Makka Vaanga" single track released from the film has already received good response from the audience.

The film directed by Vasantabalan features Siddharth, Vedhika, Prithviraj, Anaika, Nassar and Thambi Ramaiah in important roles. The movie is a fictional take on the lives of theater artistes who were rampant in 1920's.

Produced by Varun Manian, S.Sashikanth under Radiance Media & Y NOT Studios. 'Kaaviya Thalaivan' has cinematography by Nirav Shah and dialogues have been written by prolific writer Jeyamohan.

Aagadu's new teaser released

As the prince of Tollywood, Mahesh Babu turns 40, a new teaser of "Aagadu" was released on the special occasion of his birthday (August 9th).

The first look teaser of "Aagadu" was released in May for actor Krishna's (Mahesh Babu's father) birthday. 

"Dookudu"- hit combo Sreenu Vaitla and Mahesh Babu oin once again to give a special visual treat for audiences. Expectations for this movie is increasing day by day. Tamannaah has been paired opposite Mahesh for the first time. The shooting for the film is going on at a brisk pace and is expected to be completed soon. Mahesh is playing in a cop role once again after "Dookudu". The film also features Sonu Sood, Rajendra Prasad and Shruti Haasan in lead roles.

Anjaan Trailer Buzzing Online

The Official trailer of 'Anjaan' is out and buzzing all over the net. The trailer was aired on Sun Music Channel at 9 am and it was uploaded on YouTube at 10 a.m. Within few hours after it came online, the trailer received a positive feedback from viewers  and came in Trending topics in many social networking sites.

Suriya plays dual roles as Raju Bhai, the stylish gangster and as his crutch wielding brother, Krishna. The movie's posters, teaser, trailer and songs have already created a buzz, expectations for this movie among audiences is very high. Audiences are eagerly waiting to catch the film in big screen. The release of the film has been confirmed as August 15. The film has been censored with a "U" rating and the total runtime is up to 170 minutes.
